Rekindling Our Friendship with the Elemental Beings at Christmas
You are welcome to listen to the below audio file. Disconnect from the screen if possible, centring in your body and heart. You may close your eyes or keep them open with a soft gaze, in a seated position which is comfortable for you. It is also possible to do the meditation without the recording; simply read and take pauses after each step to engage your imagination. Feel free to take the time you need to fully experience the subtle worlds.
The meaning of Christmas has been largely lost in modern culture because the richness of inner life has been hijacked by materialism and consumerism. Our elemental and fairy friends are eager for us to rediscover the warmth of the inner worlds which can carry us through periods of physical or emotional darkness.
Imagine you are standing before a glistening snowy mountain of breathtaking beauty. You bow to the mountain and as you do so, you hear some gentle bells behind you. You see a large reindeer and you sense that she would like to take you to the snowy mountain.
You accept the ride from the reindeer, flying through skies. You two travel interdimensionally, crossing the thresholds between the seen and unseen worlds. You arrive at the mountain where there is a stone door.
You knock three times and a friendly dwarf holding a candle opens the door. They welcome you inside their Earth elemental kingdom. Accompanied by the friendly dwarf you wind through long underground passages and then settle in a colourful cosy space.
There within the snowy mountain, you engage in heart to heart conversations with the beings of the elemental world. Listen to their stories and all the things which they would like to share with you. There is no rush- you have all the time of the long evenings.
You realise that your heartfelt exchanges with the subtle beings are creating a unique glow within the mountain, adding a special spark to the light of the fires and candlelight. The whole inside of the mountain seems to become alive, glistening with love and creative potential.
Then carry with you the warmth and magic from your connection with the elemental beings as you leave the snowy mountain. Know that your friends in the parallel worlds are waiting there for you and may you go find them whenever you wish. The sparkles and lights of Christmas shine differently for you now- they beckon you towards the realms of inner Earth.
