Ancestral Attunement

In the soft receptive space of meditation, I sense my kin from the other worlds. There is a particularly strong connection with my grandparents.

I sense them like gentle waves. They are supporting me, from the other dimensions where they are. They are no longer in physical bodies, but I feel their love and care…

The ancestors would like us stop seeing them as passé and non-existent. Modern culture’s concentration on solely the material as ‘real’ has narrowed our perspectives and left us spiritually impoverished.

Physicality is only one thread in the vast tapestry of our being.

Humanity includes both incarnated and non-incarnated souls. We are hand in hand together, visible hands with invisible hands.

The souls in the spiritual realm, both our ancestors and descendants, are deep sources of love and wisdom for us. We can build our relationships and channels of communication with them by being open to their presence, calling them in when we are in need of support, and honouring them with our rituals.

This is a common practice across many indigenous traditions throughout the world.
